Home Staging For The Holidays
While some people shy away from putting their home on the market during the holiday season, this year we are planning for a jump start on the New Year. With inventory being at an all time low, sellers are taking advantage of that fact and putting their home on the market sooner so that they can stand out in the real estate market. We have been seeing a slightly higher list price that a few years ago would have left listings to sit stale and now are getting multiple offers and bidding wars.
One of the questions I get as a real estate agent is whether or not to decorate the home during the holiday season. I say YES! Use the holidays as a unique way of showcasing areas and features in your home that you would like to stand out. This article that I've included speaks to that point and gives wonderful tips on how to do just that.
If you are looking to put your home on the market on Long Island and are looking for a local real estate agent, please don't hesitate to email me at mylihomesforsale@gmail.com or call me directly for a consultation at 631-681-8820.
